This guide looks at how to change the branding of your platform to match your organisation as well as how to integrate your platform into your website.

If you don’t already have your own MODRON Spaces account, we invite you to try the platform totally free, and without requiring a credit card for 14 days. Sign up here.

Step 1. Locate the settings for managing your organisation

You can access all the settings for your platform by clicking on the 3 vertical dots icon at the top left of your screen (as seen below). You will then be presented with the Settings screen where you will be able to manage accounts, preferences and notifications. By clicking on the Manage Organisation option you will be presented with the Manage Organisation screen.

Step 2. Branding settings options

Once you click the Manage Organisation option, you will see the options available for managing your organisation. Here you will see the Branding section which is where we will be focussing on in this guide.

Step 3. Upload your logo

You can click on the Upload Logo option to open the Upload your Logo screen. Here you can locate your logo image file by clicking on the Choose File option and locating the file you are after. Once you select your logo image file, a preview of how your logo will look will be presented to you. Generally, if your logo looks good in the preview it will look good in all areas of your platform. At this stage you can choose a new logo image file, or if you are happy with what you see in the preview you can click the Submit option.

NOTE: In this example we can see that the blue background in the Navigation preview panel doesn't quite work with the example logo - in the next step we will look at how to change your theme which will give you different options for background colours etc.

Step 4. Branding settings option

Once you click the Submit option within the Upload your Logo screen you will be returned to the Branding settings screen.

Step 5. Update your theme

You can click on the Update Theme option to open the Change Theme screen. Here you can switch between different themes to find the best fit for your brand. When you select a different theme, your interface will update to reflect the changes. The theme options available include Blue, Light, Dark and Custom - although the Custom theme option is only available to users who have a subscription to MODRON Spaces and is not available during the free trial period.

Step 6. Creating a custom theme

If you have a subscription to MODRON Spaces, you can click the Custom option to reveal the custom theme creator.

Step 6. Selecting the exact colour palette you are after

By clicking on any of the components in the custom theme creator you will be presented with a colour picker tool which gives you the ability to select the exact colour you want for that component. Click the Apply option once you are happy with your selected colour to apply it to that component.

Note: Feel free to experiment with different colours and navigate to different areas of your platform to see how it looks. You can make changes to your custom theme at any time.

Step 7. Integrating your platform into your website.

When you first created your MODRON Spaces account you would have chosen a subdomain name for your account. For reference you should see your chosen subdomain name in the address bar of your browser currently, which should show yoursubdomainname.spaces.modron.com/.

This address: yoursubdomainname.spaces.modron.com/ is where any users of your platform can login (including yourself).

By adding a link in the navigation of your website that points to to your platform link you will be able to quickly integrate your branded platform into your website. Then when a user clicks on the link on your website, they will be taken to your platform login page (like what is seen below).

Note: A lot of our users add a link in the navigation of their websites that has a label of 'Client login', 'Mediation login', 'Login' or something similar that when clicked would take the user to their branded login screen as seen above. Consider what makes the most sense for your organisation.

Conclusion

If you have followed the steps, you will have branded your platform to match your organisation. You will have also learnt how to quickly and easily integrate your branded platform into your website. Have a think about the potential use cases in your own dispute resolution processes, for your brand and for your organisation.
